Signature Series Free Concert
Description:

Please join Jeffrey Mumford, host of the Arts & Humanities Signature Series, on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the Stocker Arts Center -Studio Theatre for this free concert. 

The program will feature Eliesha Nelson, violist and Shanelle Cook, Pianist.  Performance will present Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 6 (1717-1723), Jeffrey Mumford's Wending (2001), Quincy Porter's Suite for Viola Alone (1930), Pierre Monteux's Melodie Arabesque, and York Bowen's Sonata No.2 in F for Viola and Piano (1906).

Eliesha Nelson grew up in North Pole, Alaska.  She completed her Bachelors in Music from Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and an Artist's Diploma from the Britain's Royal Academy in violin.  She then turned to the viola and returned to CIM to complete an MA in viola performance.  She has performed in several orchestras, and is currently a member of the Cleveland Orchestra.  Noted accompanist, Shanelle Cook will join her on stage.
