NBSD 101 - REAL ESTATE PRINCIPLES

A 40-hour course that familiarizes each student with the principles and practices of the real estate business. Topics include the study of the nature, importance, and character of land; the real estate market; financing; property ownership; stages in the real estate transaction; and appraisals, escrow, and title work. Special attention will be given to fair housing, civil rights and ethics. This course partially fulfills the Ohio Department of Real Estate's requirements to sit for the sales examination. Textbook required and can be purchased from the LCCC Bookstore.

NCIS 150 - Excel 2010 Basic

Eligible for supervisory certificate Course begins with an introduction to spreadsheet terminology and Excel's window components. Learn how to use the Help system and navigate worksheets and workbooks. Enter and edit text, values, formulas, and pictures, and save workbooks in various formats. Also move and copy data, learn about absolute and relative references, and work with ranges, rows, and columns. This course also covers simple functions, basic formatting techniques, and printing. Finally, students will create and modify charts, and learn how to manage large workbooks. Course manual comes with CertBlaster exam prep software (download). Eligible for supervisory certificate Learn how to use multiple worksheets and workbooks efficiently and start working with more advanced formatting options including styles, themes, and backgrounds. Learn how to create outlines and subtotals, create and apply cell names, and work with tables. Save workbooks as Web pages, insert and edit hyperlinks, and learn to share workbooks by email. This course also covers advanced charting techniques, use of trendlines and sparklines, worksheet auditing and protection, file sharing and merging, and workbook templates.
