Description: Thursday, November 8, 2012 – 7:30pm Ricky Nelson Remembered Starring Matthew and Gunnar Nelson More than 25 years ago we lost a national treasure to a plane crash. Through his sons, they bring his musical legacy to you. Ricky Nelson was America’s first TV heartthrob. The Nelson family achieved immortality with The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, the longest-running sitcom in television history. Earlier, Ozzie and Harriet had enjoyed big band success and had scored a #1 hit in 1934. Ricky Nelson emerged from the series and established himself as one of the most important rock artists of the 50s, 60s and 70s. A Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Ricky is the only artist in history to have a #1 TV show, #1 movie, and #1 song all in the same week. Matthew and Gunnar Nelson, Ricky’s twin sons, are triple platinum recording artists in their own right. After the Rain was the hit debut album by Nelson, the band Matthew and Gunnar led in the early 1990s. They zoomed to #1 with (I Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection, which landed the Nelson family in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family to reach #1 record status in three successive generations. The world still maintains its fascination with the family. A&E’s Nelson Family Biography episode is still the top-rated Biography installment ever. Ricky Nelson Remembered is a multi-media concert experience which includes all of Ricky Nelson’s biggest hits - Garden Party, Travelin’ Man, Hello Mary Lou, Lonesome Town, Fools Rush In, It’s Late, Believe What You Say – and many more. Who better to keep their father’s music alive than his sons, Matthew and Gunnar!
