NCIS 110K - Raspberry Pi - Scratch

Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a monitor or television and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing and learn how to program in languages like Scratch. Scratch is a child/youth friendly computer language which is easy for beginners to use. Students will use Scratch to learn how to program and operate a Raspberry Pi while creating animated animals and adventure role playing games. The Raspberry Pi unit will be taken home at the end of the course for personal use.

NECE 051K - Bee Exploration Workshop

This introductory beekeeping class will be hosted by Queen Right Colonies, the largest bee supply company in Ohio! Walk through the phenomenal art of beekeeping and learn the basics of what it takes to embrace this hobby. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend as there will be a working bee hive on site with honey available for tasting! The majority of instruction will take place inside a classroom prior to going outside to view the hive.
