This introductory beekeeping class will be hosted by Queen Right Colonies, the largest bee supply company in Ohio! Walk through the phenomenal art of beekeeping and learn the basics of what it takes to embrace this hobby. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend as there will be a working bee hive on site with honey available for tasting! The majority of instruction will take place inside a classroom prior to going outside to view the hive.

NWKS 116K - Coping and Communication Skills Workshop to Assist with the Transition to Middle and High School

We all experience anxiety at some point in our lives particularly during times of transition such as starting a new school. Anxiety can cause us to feel overwhelmed and emotional making it difficult to do simple tasks, make decisions, and effectively communicate our feelings to others. This workshop is designed to help students develop effective coping strategies for the management of anxiety and other difficult feelings as well as to develop assertive communication skills. Fun interactive, experiential, and hands on activities will be used to help participants more effectively put into use the skills they learn so that they may have a smooth transition into the new school year.
