Many pages on the LCCC web site open in new windows, which are identified by some
pop-up blockers as advertisements.
LCCC does not use pop-up ads on it's web sites.
To see pop-up windows and effectively use our web site, please make one of the following
adjustments:
- Set your pop-up blocker settings to medium
- Add lorainccc.edu to your list of allowable domains ("white list")
- Allow pop-up windows on "user initiated" sites
- Turn off the pop-up blocker software while using our web site
For instructions on how to enable pop-ups from an LCCC website please select your
pop-up blocker from the list below:
For Google Toolbar Users:
Enabling pop-ups from an LCCC web site is as simple as clicking the pop-up button
on the Google Toolbar

may be different but after you have clicked the button it should change to
 . This enables
LCCC pop-up windows to open on future visits. If you wish to enable all LCCC web
sites to show pop-ups click on the following links and click your toolbar button.
Note: Each site will open in a new window, thus allowing you to return to this page.
After allowing pop-ups with the Google toolbar the window will be refreshed.
For Yahoo! Companion Toolbar Users:
To enable pop-ups from an LCCC web site using the Yahoo! Companion Toolbar:
- Locate the pop-up blocker button on the toolbar
- Click on the button and select "Always Allow Pop-Ups From..."
- A new window will open. At the top it will show your recently blocked pop-ups. Locate
the following sites:
- www.lorainccc.edu
- apps.lorainccc.edu (note: since you are seeing this page this site is no doubt there)
- jics.lorainccc.edu
- Highlight by clicking on the site address and then click the "Allow" button
on the right hand side of the window.
- A dialog box will open asking "Always allow pop-ups from apps.lorainccc.edu
(or whatever site you have chosen)?". Click the ok button. The site will now
appear at the bottom of the window in the "Always Allow Pop-Ups from these
sources" section of the window.
- After selecting other lorainccc.edu sites that have been recently blocked click
the "Ok" button at the bottom of the window to save the selections and
close this window.
- Now you should be able to view any pop-ups from LCCC web sites.
- To reverse these actions, follow the above steps, only this time select the site
from the bottom section and click remove, confirm this action by clicking the ok
button when asked and then follow step 6 to close the window and save changes.

For Netscape 7 and Mozilla Users:
To enable pop-ups from both Netscape 7 and Mozilla follow these steps:
- Click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the Navigator Browser window.
- Choose "Popup Manager"
- Choose "Manage Pop-ups"
- A new window will open. At the top of the new window you will see a text box, type
into the text box the following addresses and click add after each address:
- apps.lorainccc.edu
- www.lorainccc.edu
- jics.lorainccc.edu
- Those sites will now be added to your allowed sites list. Click ok to save the changes
and close this window.
- Now you should be able to view any pop-ups from LCCC web sites.
For Opera Users:
To enable pop-ups click on "File" and then on "Quick Preferences"
and "Accept all Pop-ups". Make sure to set this back to refuse pop-ups
when visiting other sites. You can also press the "F12" key on your keyboard
to toggle this selection. For further information consult the online help at
http://www.opera.com/support.
If your pop-up blocker is not listed, search for more information on your Internet
Service Provider Web site or review your software instructions. Many pop-up blockers
function similarily to the ones described above.
